The IGS Old Boys First XI against the IGS First XI exhibition match was a resounding success, with the Old Boys triumphing over the First XI Squad. Old Boy Will Kraschnefski (Class of 2018) was awarded Player of the Match honours with a barrage of massive 6’s scored across his innings, which saw him finish with 31 runs. Rushi Kakkad also finished the game with a score of 31 for the IGS First XI team. Jacob Cibulka finished with bowling figures of 4/16, claiming the big wickets of Will Kraschenfski, Noah Emmerson (Class of 2021), Danny Young (Class of 2020) and Noah van de Werken (Class of 2016). The match concluded after 20 overs, with the Old Boys scoring 126 runs to IGS’s 119 runs.
The IGS Old Boys’ Association aims to maintain and keep past students of Ipswich Grammar School in touch with each other and the school, where we ‘battled as boys’.
