Old Boys welcome Class 156

Old Boys welcome Class 156

It is a momentous week for the graduating Year 12s with many formalities and emotional moments. One such event that has become synonymous with their final week is the special breakfast where the Old Boys have the opportunity to officially welcome the newest members and present them with the Old Boy Badges.

The 156th cohort to complete their education at Ipswich Grammar School enjoyed the comradery already shown to them by the Old Boys. They listened appreciatively to the IGSOBA President Andrew Kenman as he spoke of the unity and the support that the Old Boy network provides. He implored the boys always to remain connected to the school and celebrate the fact they come from not only a background at IGS but are also an essential part of the more extensive GPS network.

The numerous Old Boys took the time to meet the boys and congratulated them of their efforts while at school and encouraged them to keep pursuing their goals. ” One thing will remain consistent in your lives'” Andrew said. “You will always be an IGS Old Boy.”
