Over 155 years ago, sixteen boys sat down for their first day at Ipswich Grammar School. As the first grammar school in Queensland, this marked a moment in time, as these boys were making history.

When you walked through the famous gates of IGS on your first day, you became part of the legacy of our great school.

Each IGS Old Boy has a unique place in our history and has been assigned his own student number to signify this.

A special commemorative certificate has been produced to celebrate your place in IGS history and we intend to deliver these certificates to as many Old Boys as we can. If you would like to receive this special certificate and a copy of your number, please confirm your postal address by emailing Michelle Hawck

To celebrate a special celebration honouring the place of each of our students, past and present, will be held.We hope you can join us then.

When: 6.00pm Monday 4th June
